Mounties Seeking Witnesses To Motor Vehicle Collision In Chilliwack

    On November 18, 2019 around 5:30 p.m. Chilliwack RCMP received a call to report a collision between a pick-up truck and pedestrian at the intersection of 1st Avenue and Cheam Avenue.


    Officers immediately arrived at the location where BC Ambulance personnel were providing medical attention to the pedestrian who had suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. The 48-year-old female from Chilliwack was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance.


    The alleged driver of the pick-up truck – a 37-year-old man from Chilliwack- remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation.


    As officers continue to pursue their investigation police are reaching out to the public for witnesses or drivers with dash camera images of the collision to contact the Chilliwack RCMP.


    The pedestrian remains in hospital receiving medical attention for her injuries, says Corporal Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD.
