One dead, man arrested after shooting in apartment in Abbotsford, B.C.

Police in Abbotsford, B.C., say a man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting at an apartment building.

Abbotsford police say the incident happened at around 4 p.m. Monday in the 30400 block of Cardinal Avenue, where officers responded to a call reporting a shooting.

Police say officers at the scene found the incident took place in one unit in the apartment complex, and the male victim had already died.

Another man found at the scene was arrested, and police say there is no ongoing danger to the public.

Abbotsford police say they are in the process of transitioning the case to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, and no other information has been released.

Police are urging people with information to contact investigators.
