One Man Dead After Explosion And Fire In Residential Abbotsford House

    ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — One man is dead following what police say was a residential explosion and fire in Abbotsford, B.C. on Thursday afternoon
     
     
    The incident happened just after 4:15 p.m. on Ponderosa St.
     
     
    Police say six adults and two children were able to escape the house, which Sgt. Judy Bird says was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on the scene.
     
     
    Bird says the investigation is in its early stages and the cause of the explosion and fire is not yet known.
     
     
    Police have not released the name and age of the man who was killed. (News1130)
