Ontario's Teen Royal Wedding Guest Ready With 'Dream Dress'

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 18 May, 2018 04:09 PM
LONDON — Teenage royal wedding guest Faith Dickinson says she's got her "dream dress" ready for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Peterborough, Ont., resident is among the throngs of royal fans who have flooded the town of Windsor west of London to celebrate the union at Windsor Castle on Saturday.

Dickinson says she has to be on the castle grounds by 8:30 a.m. along with six other youth associated with the Diana Award. They are among 200 people from a range of charities also invited to observe from outside the chapel.

Dickinson says she hopes to catch a good look at the couple as they arrive, noting it was exactly one year ago that she met Prince Harry in London to receive a Diana Award for her charity work. Cuddles for Cancer provides blankets to cancer patients and veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.

The teen also gushed over a custom silk and lace dress made by Ottawa designer Nora Pucci of the brand Zarucci, and a matching fascinator by Toronto milliner David Dunkley.

Dickinson says she expects to spend much of the day standing and craning her neck for a look at the newlyweds, "but it's all worth it."

"I love them, they're a perfect couple and they do so much amazing charity work," Dickinson said Thursday.
