Pattullo Bridge closed for Easter long weekend

Drivers are reminded that the Pattullo Bridge between Surrey and New Westminster will be closed in both directions starting on Thursday, April 6, at 10 p.m. and reopening on Tuesday, April 11, at 5 a.m.

The bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic to allow the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project to complete soil densification activities and relocation of the seismic warning system. TransLink will conduct sign relocation, line painting, concrete patching and routine bridge inspections during this time.

Drivers should take the Port Mann or Alex Fraser bridges as alternate routes. Pedestrians, cyclists and emergency services will be able to use the bridge at all times.

Northbound and southbound N19 NightBus trips will be rerouted over the Queensborough and Alex Fraser bridges. There are 31,817 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and 238,524 people who tested positive have recovered. Of the active cases, 324 individuals are in hospital and 90 are in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
