Police say a 52-year-old woman has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle at an Abbotsford intersection.

Abbotsford police say the woman was taken to hospital after the collision, but no updates on her condition have been given.

Police say impairment did not play a role in the crash, and the driver remained at the scene to co-operate with investigators.

Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage of the incident or other information pertaining to the case to contact investigators
