Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Crash With Vancouver Police Vehicle

    VANCOUVER — A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash with a police vehicle in Vancouver.
     
    Police say in a news release that an on-duty officer collided with the pedestrian on Saturday night.
     
    The pedestrian was taken to hospital and remained in serious condition on Sunday.
     
    Police say the officer was not physically injured.
     
    The Independent Investigations Office is now probing the incident, looking for physical evidence, interviewing witnesses and reviewing video footage.
     
    The agency investigates all police-involved serious injuries and deaths across B.C.
