Police Say Body Recovered From Hanes Valley Area Of North Shore Mountains

The Canadian Press, 18 Feb, 2015 11:31 AM
VANCOUVER — Police confirm a body has been recovered from Vancouver's North Shore Mountains.

The Vancouver Police Department says the body was found in the Hanes Valley area before noon on Tuesday.

Officers are not providing any additional information until the person is identified and their family is contacted.

Earlier this year, crews searched for missing 21-year-old hiker Liang Jin in the same area, but he was never found.

Also believed to have gone hiking in the Hanes Valley is British tourist Tom Billings, who disappeared in November 2013.
