Police To Seek Murder Charge In Death Of Baby Delivered After Mother Shot Dead

    Toronto police say any suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old pregnant woman last year will also be charged in the death of her baby, who was delivered prematurely.
     
    The infant son of Candice Rochelle Bobb died in hospital last June, roughly a month after the shooting.
     
    Bobb, of nearby Mississauga, Ont., was in a vehicle with three other people when gunfire erupted on May 15, 2016. The group was returning from a basketball game.
     
    Police say Bobb, who was five months pregnant, was not the intended target of the attack.
     
    Her baby was delivered by emergency C-section.
     
    No arrests have been made at this time, but police say they hope anyone with information will come forward.
