Police on Vancouver Island say the deadly assault of a man in Port Hardy last weekend appears to have been targeted.
Port Hardy R-C-M-P say they responded to a report of an injured person on Sunday afternoon, and the person later died of their injuries in hospital.
The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit says it's working closely with the Mounties and have searched at a home and business in the area.
They say there's no ongoing risk to the community.
