Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared his good wishes on Diwali over social media. He lit diyas as a symbol of triumph of good over evil. He also emphasized staying safe this Diwali in a special video message keeping the COVID19 pandemic in mind. He also issued a statement on Bandi Chhor Divas. 

Other Federal Ministers such as Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino and Procurement Minister Anita Anand also took to Twitter to share their Diwali messages.  Procurement Minister Anita Anand shared her Diwali wishes alongside a picture from Trudeau's office. 

The Prime Minister and the BC Government are both reminding us that with a surge in COVID19 cases right across the country and in our own province of BC to please exercise caution during the Diwali festivities.
