  • Province Invests $2 Million For New Housing Project In Burnaby
BURNABY – People with developmental disabilities in Burnaby will soon have access to nine new units of affordable housing.
 
Following the September 2016 announcement of a $500-million investment in affordable rental housing, the B.C. government has selected Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion to receive $2 million in capital funding for a new housing project at 3755 Banff Ave.
 
BC Housing will work with the non-profit group to fully develop the project plans and ensure the proper rezoning and consultation is considered and confirmed before construction.
 
Construction on the project is expected to begin in fall 2017, with completion projected for spring 2018.
