The B-C government has released Premier David Eby's mandate letters for his new cabinet, outlining priorities for each ministry.
Almost every minister has instructions to grow the economy and "reduce costs for families."
Eby has told his ministers they must also review the efficiency of existing programs, given budget constraints and incoming U-S president Donald Trump's tariff threat.
The mandate letter for housing tells minister Ravi Kahlon that he must work to make home ownership a reality for more people in B-C, while the letter for Public Safety Minister Garry Begg highlights co-operation between police, prosecutors and probation officers to reduce repeat violent offending.
