  • Provincial Police Investigating Helicopter Crash Near Sept-iles, Quebec
SEPT-ILES, Que. — Rescue teams have been dispatched to the site of a helicopter crash on Quebec's North Shore.
 
Five people were reportedly aboard — four passengers and the pilot — but their condition is unknown.
 
The helicopter belonged to a private firm and crashed today about 40 kilometres north of Sept-Iles, Que., in a heavily forested area not accessible by road.
 
Provincial police say the plane departed Sept-Iles airport this morning and they received a call about the crash at 9:45 a.m.
 
Firefighters and paramedics managed to get to the site by helicopter.
 
Provincial police and the Canadian Armed Forces were also heading to the site.
