RCMP Release Videos Of Suspects In Altercation Involving Knife At Langford School Yard - WATCH

    The West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes Unit continues to investigate a report of aggravated assault that took place during the late evening hours on June 26th 2019, at the Ruth King Elementary School grounds, located at 2764 Jacklin Road in Langford.


    Police were called to this location and learned that there had been an altercation involving two groups of youths, leaving one youth hospitalized with knife wounds.


    Police believe there were two groups of youths that were walking on Goldstream Ave between Peatt Rd and Matson Rd that crossed paths between the hours of 8:00pm and 11:30pm.


    The video shown below depicts one of the two groups. We are releasing this video in hopes that members from the public can help us identify the youth in the video. Investigators are looking to identify and speak to youth to determine their involvement in this investigation. If you know who the individuals in the video are please call us, said Cst. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.

    Video #1 depicts a group of 5 youth males between the ages of 16 and 23 year old walking toward the water fountain located on Goldstream Ave at 866 Strathmore Ave in Langford.



    Video #2: depicts the same 5 youth male’s shown in video #1 walking through a parking lot.


     

    The West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes Unit is requesting that anyone with information regarding the identity if the youth shown in the footage above to call police at 250-474-2264. You can also report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
