Richmond RCMP Investigating Serious Pedestrian Collision

    Shortly after 6 p.m. on February 22, frontline Richmond RCMP officers responded to the area of Railway Avenue and Linfield Gate for a collision involving a pedestrian and a dark-coloured SUV.


    The pedestrian, a 45-year-old man from Richmond, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.


    The driver, a 49-year-old woman from Richmond, remained on scene and has been cooperative with police.


    The Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team has taken conduct of the investigation along with the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).


    Richmond RCMP are asking the public for additional information regarding this collision. They are requesting drivers that might have been travelling in the area, to review their dash camera footage.
