Rob Ford calls rehab amazing, promises to return to election

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 07 May, 2014 12:59 PM

Toronto mayor Rob Ford apparently called Toronto Sun's Joe Warmington, describing rehab as "amazing" and also adding that "it reminds me of football camp."

“Rehab is amazing. It reminds me of football camp. Kind of like the Washington Redskins camp I went to as a kid.”

While talking to Warmington, Ford rebuffed speculations that his brother Councillor Doug Ford would be running in his place, as was being speculated earlier this week.

"Of course I am coming back and I am going to kick butt," he said.

Ford, however refused to comment on the location of his rehab facility or why he was not able to enter US.

The mayor is currently on leave of absence to seek assistance for a "problem with alcohol" after media reports emerged linking him with drug and alcohol abuse.

Meanwhile, the mayor still keeps himself indulged in some office work by replying to telephone calls from his constituents.

"I am getting help, but I still want to help," Ford said.
