Robert Brandt, Kevin Wang Identified As Poliots Of BC Plane That Crashed On Vancouver's North Shore

Darpan News Desk, 15 Apr, 2015 09:24 PM
VANCOUVER — Two pilots who died in a crash in the mountains north of Vancouver have been identified.

The BC Coroners Service says 34-year-old Robert Brandt was the pilot and 32-year-old Kevin Wang was co-piloting the twin-engine Swearingen SA-226 plane.

The service says the pilots were flying cargo from Vancouver International Airport to Prince George, B.C., for a company called Carson Air.

The plane was reported missing at 7 a.m. on Monday.

Search and rescue crews found wreckage from the aircraft Tuesday morning along with the body of one of the pilots, while the second body was found nearby a few hours later.

The coroners service says it was a difficult search and recovery effort involving multiple agencies and that it's continuing an investigation, as is the Transportation Safety Board.
