Saanich, B.C. Mom Pleads For Help In Return Of Daughter Allegedly Abducted From B.C.

The Canadian Press, 27 Sep, 2016 12:55 PM
SAANICH, B.C. — A mother in Saanich, B.C., is spending her daughter's second birthday pleading for the toddler's safe return in what police are calling a case of parental abduction.

Tasha Brown says her only wish for her daughter Kaydance is that the little girl would be brought back to Canada.

The Saanich Police Department says Brown and her wife Lauren Etchells had Kaydance through a donor process in 2014, but the couple separated last year.

Police say that in April, while custody proceedings were underway, Etchells allegedly violated a court order and obtained a passport for the little girl.

Police say Brown contacted them in May after Etchells and her new partner allegedly took Kaydance and that couple's newborn child to London, and then to France, though their current location is unknown.

Police say a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for 31-year-old Etchells, who is a dual citizen of Canada and the United Kingdom. (CFAX)
