Saskatoon's Icy Streets Get The Better Of Stand-Up Comedian Kevin Hart

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 19 Nov, 2015 10:40 AM
SASKATOON — A winter storm that's hitting parts of the Prairies is more than a match for comedian Kevin Hart.

The entertainer was in Saskatchewan this week on his current comedy tour and posted to Instagram footage of himself and a couple of friends preparing to head out for a five-kilometre run on Saskatoon's icy sidewalks.

"Me in Saskatoon, let's get this run in baby," urged the diminutive comic, clad in a burgundy track suit and hoodie. "Hustle hard!"

His buddies had no problem jogging off down the street but Hart took only a couple of steps before wildly sliding and lurching across the ice.

Uttering a couple of expletives, Hart turned back to the camera and surrendered to the forces of Canadian nature.

"Hey, I'm hustling hard, I ain't hustling stupid," he cracked as he walked away. By Wednesday night, the post had more than 236,000 likes.

Wind warnings remained in effect Wednesday for the southeastern corner of Saskatchewan as well as parts of Manitoba, and snowfall warnings were still in place for regions in the east-central area, according to Environment Canada.

Air Canada was warning passengers in Saskatoon and Regina that flights might be delayed or cancelled because of strong winds, and RCMP were reporting numerous vehicle collisions across the province.
