Second Degree Murder Charges Laid Against Two Men In Vanderhoof Double Slaying

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 05 Oct, 2015 11:49 AM
    VANDERHOOF, B.C. — Second degree murder charges have been laid against two people in Vanderhoof, B.C.

    RCMP Cpl. Dave Tyreman says the charges are related to a nearly three-year-old slaying in that central interior community, about 100 kilometres west of Prince George.

    Twenty-nine-year-old Blaine Albert Barfoot and 40-year-old Tara Lee Ann Williams were found dead in a Vanderhoof-area mobile home on January 13, 2013.

    Investigators have not said how they died, but at the time, police reported the victims were living a high risk lifestyle and were known to police.

    Tyreman says charges were laid over the weekend against 21-year-old Vanderhoof resident Shaun Keith Goodwin;

    A 20-year-old man who was 17 at the time of the offence has also been charged but because of his age, he cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
