RICHMOND, B.C. - Seven charges have been laid after the RCMP investigated a series of luggage thefts at Vancouver International Airport.
Police say a Vancouver woman was arrested early last month.
The province's prosecution service says it has approved seven counts of theft under $5,000 against a 26-year-old Miriam Tremblay.
Police say the alleged thefts occurred at luggage carousels in the airport's domestic terminal between July 12 and Aug. 2.
Police were called around 12:30 p.m. by staff at a retail store in the 800-block of Granville Street, after a suspect allegedly entered the store, tried to steal merchandise, and then pulled a knife.
A man is in critical condition in the hospital, and Surrey RCMP are investigating, following a single vehicle roll-over collision in South Surrey.
Charges have been approved in an investigation into a kidnapping that took place in Burnaby in early July.
