Shiamak Brings ConfiDance to Vancouver!

    After wowing audiences in eight cities around the world, the show debuts in Vancouver this October!
     
    A dance extravaganza that has been performed in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, London, Melbourne, Sydney and Toronto, CONFIDANCE will debut Vancouver this October! 
     
    A dance journey, The ConfiDance Show choreographed by Shiamak Davar gives an opportunity to the local Dance Teams to perform on stage in a professional setup and showcase their training and styles taught at the academy.
     
    Representing the world’s biggest dance academy, the SHIAMAK Dance Team - Vancouver consists of performers who are handpicked by Shiamak and receive intensive training in dance technique and performance. 
     
    The SHIAMAK Dance Team, Vancouver has wowed audiences with power packed performances at the Indian International Film Academy Awards (IIFA), the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA), the opening ceremony of the World Police and Fire Games, Canadian Tourism’s Commissions Rendezvous Canada, We Day, the BC Lions Half Time show and other prestigious community events.
     
    “Being on stage is a very important part of the performing arts experience. We introduced the ConfiDance Show to give a platform to students with potential who want to train in different dance styles, to perform in a professional show. 
     
    The Dance Team trains for months to understand what goes into putting up a stage show. From dance rehearsals, backstage, production, costumes, sets and properties, this show is a complete team effort by these students and my instructors.” says Shiamak Davar, the Founder and Artistic Director of the academy.
     
    Come October and The SHIAMAK Dance Team, Vancouver will take you through a fascinating journey through Contemporary, Bollywood Jazz, Hip Hop, Indo – Jazz and more at ConfiDance. With extravagant sets and properties, colorful costumes, thematic choreography and trained dancers, ConfiDance has all the ingredients of a complete performing arts experience. 
     
    ConfiDance opens on Friday October 16th at 7.30pm at the Michael J Fox theatre!
