  • Shooting at Abbotsford, B.C., home leaves residents 'shaken' but uninjured

Police in Abbotsford, B.C., are investigating an early morning shooting at a home in the city.

They say officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 32000 block of Balfour Drive just after 2 a.m.

The department says in a news release that officers quickly found that the residence had been struck by bullets.

It says the occupants were asleep when the shooting happened and though they were shaken, no one was injured.

The release says the investigation has been turned over to the department's Major Crimes Unit, who are working to determine a motive.

Police are now asking anyone who was in the area of Balfour Drive or travelling along Clearbrook Road between Downes Road and Maclure Road between 1:45 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. and may have witnessed something, to contact the unit.
