Shooting in Guildford leaves one dead

One man is dead and another has been injured in what Surrey R-C-M-P say was a targeted shooting in a Guildford-area parking lot of 108 Avenue and 148 Street.

The Mounties say they were called to a report of shots fired last night around 8pm and found two victims with gunshot sounds.

Both men were taken to hospital, where one died of his injures, while the other is expected to recover.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case, with investigators saying the shooting appears to be linked to gang conflict.
