Environment Canada is warning of heavy snowfall on two stretches of highways in B-C overnight and possibly stretching into today.
The agency says Highway 16 from Tete Jaune Cache to the Alberta boundary will see up to 10 centimetres of snow through noon.
Meanwhile, Highway 97 in the Pine Pass area in northeastern B-C is expected to have 15 centimetres of snow overnight.
The agency is warning drivers of possible quick-changing conditions and urging them to be prepared to adjust accordingly.
Statistics Canada reported on Friday that the economy added 47,000 jobs in September, while the unemployment rate declined for the first time since January to 6.5 per cent. The overall job gains followed four consecutive months of little change, the agency said.
