A series of snowfall and winter storm warnings are covering parts of northern B-C.

Environment Canada says heavy snow was expected to continue in the Stewart area, north of Prince Rupert, until later today.

To the north, in the Dease Lake area, the weather office says snow accumulation of about 10 centimetres was expected before conditions ease this morning.

The same forecast extends east to the Muncho Lake and Stone Mountain Park areas, with Environment Canada advising drivers to be prepared for poor conditions.
