Sooke RCMP Say All Three Suspects In Targeted Shooting Are In Custody

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 20 Jun, 2016 11:32 AM
SOOKE, B.C. — Police in the suburban Victoria community of Sooke, B.C., say a nearly week-long manhunt has ended with the arrest of two men.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur says the arrests were made late Sunday night several hours after members of the Sooke detachment surrounded a home about 40 kilometres west of Victoria.

McArthur says the suspects were found in a crawl space of the house and 25-year-old Josh Lafleur and a 21-year-old Sooke man are now in custody.

A search has been underway since last Tuesday when two men were seriously injured in a targeted, drive-by shooting.

A third suspect, Dustin Brown, was arrested Wednesday night and faces two counts of attempted murder using a firearm.

McArthur says the two men picked up Sunday are expected to appear in court Monday.
