'Sound of Music' Not So Sweet: Man Charged After Concert-Goer Punched After Show

    WINNIPEG — A man has been charged after a concert-goer was attacked in what police are calling a case of road rage following a showing of "The Sound of Music" in Winnipeg. 
     
    Police say a 63-year-old man was being picked up after the show at the Centennial Concert Hall on Jan. 6 and was trying to get into the back of an SUV.
     
    They say that's when someone got out of a Mercedes-Benz and punched him in the upper body.
     
    Officers who met with the victim were told the Mercedes was trying to merge through traffic from behind.
     
    The victim was taken to hospital by a family member and has been discharged, although he is waiting for followup surgery.
     
    Police say a suspect turned himself in on Monday.
     
    Justin Peter Karpluk, who is 20 and from West St. Paul, Man., has been charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order. He has been detained in custody.
