  • Sources Foundation’s Isle of Dreams Fundraiser Raises Over $550K for Youth Services

Waves of generosity washed ashore at Isle of Dreams fundraiser this past  Saturday, helping Sources Foundation sail past its fundraising goal to raise more than $550,000.

Presented by  Save-On-Foods and Scotiabank, the tropical-themed annual signature charity event welcomed over 200 guests to Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club - all united by one purpose: to help young people access the supports they need in  a timely manner.

“I am overwhelmed by the support we received from the community and excited for the headway we will make for youth with the proceeds raised,” said David MacIntyre, President & CEO of Sources Foundation. “My heart is  full of gratitude for everyone who made Isle of Dreams a resounding success. I give thanks to each sponsor,  donor, volunteer, and staff member for their incredible commitment.”

Emceed by Global BC’s Mark Madryga and featuring auctioneer Howard Blank, the island-inspired evening  brought guests together through vibrant flavours and a shared spirit of giving. The Tropical Sunshine Steel Band set the tone with lively calypso rhythms, while traditional Polynesian dance performances added an unforgettable  touch of cultural celebration.

Proceeds will go directly towards programs and initiatives that strengthen youth well-being including the  development of the Foundry South Surrey-White Rock at 15451 Russell Avenue in White Rock, a free, walk-in  health and wellness hub for youth aged 12–24.

“Coming into the night, we had a goal of raising $425,000,” says Paul Cope, Senior Vice President, Scotiabank,  and Event Co-Chair. “The evening surpassed our expectations, and this was a true reflection on our community’s  desire to support young people.”

“There was such an incredible energy in the room - you could truly feel generosity in every moment,” said Chuck  Keeling, Executive Vice President, Great Canadian Entertainment, and Event Co-Chair. “People came together to celebrate community, connection, and the possibility of making an impact for the better. It was inspiring to  witness, and even more inspiring to be a part of.”

Sources Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to all their sponsors, donors, and community supporters, including co-presenting sponsors, Save-On-Foods and Scotiabank, as well as West Coast Golf Group.
