  • Stolen merchandise found in Maple Ridge

Mounties in Surrey say the search of a home in Maple Ridge turned up stolen merchandise with a total estimated value topping 43-thousand dollars.

Police say they arrested a woman who was using Facebook Marketplace to advertise and sell the stolen goods, ranging from designer clothing and accessories to sportswear by popular brands.

The R-C-M-P say the woman set up a retail-style storefront in her home, where she was selling the stolen goods at significantly discounted prices.

Police say that if a deal seems to good to be true, it probably is, and they're asking anyone who might have inadvertently purchased stolen items to contact them.
