Saanich Police are investigating a sexual assault in a campus washroom at the University of Victoria.
A safety bulletin issued by the university says the victim was assaulted in a men’s washroom on the first floor of a campus building on Tuesday morning.
The suspect -- described as a “heavy-set” male who was at least sixty years old -- fled after the attack.
The school says the university grounds are patrolled around the clock and campus security will be “closely monitoring” the area where the assault happened.
The union has 213 members including drivers, utility workers, bus washers and mechanics. It says the two sides have engaged in more than 20 days of bargaining since talks began in late spring 2022.
The Mindbender was known as the world's tallest and longest indoor, triple-loop roller-coaster. In 1986, three people were killed on the roller-coaster, which forced the mall to shut it down for a year for safety modifications.

An elderly woman had planned to meet with someone from Facebook Marketplace to sell her phone. They met at Victoria Park located at 150 E Keith Rd in North Vancouver. During the exchange, the suspect pepper sprayed the victim and attempted to take her phone. The suspect was unsuccessful, and fled without the phone west from the park.
