Surrey Murder Victim Identified As 27-Yr-Old Randeep Kang Of Vancouver

Darpan News Desk, 31 Oct, 2017 11:17 AM

A Vancouver resident Randeep “Randy” Kang, 27, was shot to death AT 11300-block of Alpen Place — a quiet cul-de-sac — just before 9 p.m. PT on Oct. 27.

Kang was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim brother Gary was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

Mr. Kang was known to police and associated to gang activity. Investigators believe Mr. Kang’s murder was targeted and linked to other gang violence in the Lower Mainland.

Cpl. Frank Jang of IHIT says, This was a brazen shooting in a residential neighbourhood and a blatant disregard for the safety of the public. There are people who have information about what happened. I urge these individuals to come forward and speak with IHIT so that we can hold those responsible to account.

Investigators believe this vehicle may be related to the homicide and anyone with information about this vehicle or any other information about the shooting is asked to contact IHIT at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

Anonymous tips can be contributed via Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
