On August 17, 2023, at approximately 5:47 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of a male with stab wounds in the 10200-block of King George Boulevard. The male victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has been actively working to identify two males who are believed to be involved in this incident. Although a motive has not yet been identified, it appears to have been a targeted incident.

At the time of the incident, suspect one was wearing a black t-shirt, beige pants and white shoes. He has visible tattoos on both arms.

Suspect two was wearing a grey t-shirt, blue jeans, black/white runners and carrying a black bag. This suspect has a visible tattoo on his left hand.

We are releasing photos of two men believed to be involved in this serious assault, as we believe someone will recognize them says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer, Corporal Vanessa Munn. We encourage anyone with information that can assist with advancing the ongoing investigation, to contact police.

Surrey RCMP received the report of shots fired at a taxi in a parking lot in the 14800 block of 108 Avenue. Police attended the scene and found both occupants of the vehicle shot. The passenger, a 30-year-old male died, and the driver of the taxi was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

A forensic composite sketch of the suspect has been compiled. The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 20s, 178 cm (5’ 10) tall, slim build, with brown curly hair and a blue/green flower tattoo on right forearm.

Via release, Mounties said approximately 20 minutes after the initial report of shots fired, police received a second report of a shooting in the 9200-block of 163 Street. Similar to the first incident, responding officers located a residence with damage and evidence consistent with a shooting.
