Surrey Woman, 34, In Stable Condition After Being Stabbed

The Canadian Press, 05 Jul, 2015 12:58 PM
SURREY, B.C. — A 34-year-old woman is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing in Surrey, B.C.

RCMP say they responded to a report of a stabbing (in the 8100-block of King George Boulevard) just before 6 a.m. Saturday.

Officers found the woman suffering from stab wounds and she was transported to hospital.

Mounties say the initial investigation shows the stabbing occurred during an altercation between the victim and another individual.

The investigation is still in its early stages but RCMP say they believe the two know each other and this is an isolated incident.

Officers are canvassing the neighbourhood and have spoken with several witnesses but are asking anyone with information to come forward.
