Suspect Travis Vader Late Again For Murder Trial In Missing Couple Case

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 13 Apr, 2016 01:27 PM
EDMONTON — A judge is to review bail conditions for a man who has been late four times for his murder trial in the deaths of two Alberta seniors.

A lawyer for Travis Vader says his client was a half-hour behind this morning because a vehicle he was using was borrowed by someone and not returned.

Vader has been tardy three times before and court was told that twice he had car trouble and once he slept in.

Justice Denny Thomas had warned Vader not to be late again.

He says another judge is to look at Vader's bail conditions this afternoon.

Vader has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the deaths of Lyle and Marie McCann, a couple in their late 70s, who vanished while on a camping trip in 2010.

Their bodies have never been found.
