  • Suspected cocaine, fentanyl, mushrooms seized as two arrested in Kelowna, B.C., bust

Two men have been arrested in a co-ordinated bust in British Columbia's Interior that saw police seize more than 10 kilograms of illicit substances along with other items related to a drug distribution operation.

RCMP in Kelowna, B.C., say they executed consecutive search warrants on three local homes on April 15 as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking and illegal firearms.

Police say the searches found a combined 7 kilograms of suspected cocaine, as well as more than 2 kilograms of suspected fentanyl and 1 kilogram of psilocybin mushrooms.

A loaded gun and $40,000 in cash were also seized in the investigation.

Two men were arrested in the case, and police say one of the suspects has been held on outstanding warrants.

Police say they have submitted their cases to federal prosecutors for the consideration of charges.
