SUV Owner Comes Forward After Abbotsford Hit-And-Run Kills 77-Year-Old South Asian Man

    The registered owner of the vehicle involved in wednesday night’s hit and run has come in to meet with Abbotsford Police Major Crime Detectives. This investigation is on-going and updates will be provided when available.


    At 8:30 pm, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the 32600 block of Marshall Road. A newer model SUV-type vehicle struck a 77-year-old South Asian male who was walking on the roadway.


    The pedestrian was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries in hospital this morning.


    The Abbotsford Police Detectives continue to encourage witnesses, and those with possible CCTV footage and dashcam footage to come forward to help provide further evidence in this investigation.
