Terms of new contract that resolved British Columbia port dispute are released

The four-year agreement that brought an end to labour uncertainty on B.C.'s busy portlands includes pay raises, retirement bonuses and a maintenance work deal.
The terms of the new contract are being shared by the Canada Industrial Relations Board, highlighting how the two sides finally got to together following months-long dispute, which included a disruptive 13-day strike.

One of the sticking points that was finally resolved was a commitment by employers to train workers to perform maintenance on new equipment -- instead of contracting third parties.
Four people have been arrested and about 13-million-dollars in drugs have been seized as part of an ongoing investigation by Vancouver Police. Police say the drug seizures happened in March, when officers executed search warrants at various downtown locations.

Police say a school bus tipped over on B.C.’s Sunshine Coast, sending the driver to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash happened at 8:37 a.m. on the side of Highway 101 in Madeira Park, about 100 kilometres northwest of Vancouver.
A B-C Highway Patrol officer says the teen was travelling at a speed of up to 209 kilometres per hour in a 100 kilometres per hour zone last week. The driver is facing multiple charges and is set to appear in court next month.
The city's police say a woman was crossing near Main and Georgia streets when she was struck just before 12:30 p-m. They say the driver is co-operating with the investigation.
