Environment Canada says thick fog is leading to near-zero visibility throughout the Metro Vancouver area.
A blanket of fog has hung over the Lower Mainland since Sunday.
The agency reissued a fog advisory, saying visibility is expected to improve this afternoon, but the fog may return in the evening.
The advisory warns that below freezing temperatures in foggy areas could lead to slippery surfaces
Speakers at the meeting include members of the Competition Bureau, outside competition experts and company representatives including Rogers chief executive Tony Staffieri. A 29-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk westbound along Edmonds Street, just before Griffiths Drive, shortly before noon when a man jogging towards her briefly stopped in front of her. The man did not say anything to the victim, but allegedly pushed her with both hands, causing her to fall to the ground.
