On June 7, 2021, at approximately 11:30 pm, police received a request from BC Ambulance Services to attend and assist at an incident in the 28300 Block of Lougheed Highway regarding a motor vehicle collision involving 3 cars.

As a result of the crash, one vehicle ended up approximately 20 meters down an embankment trapping the driver inside. RCMP’s Air 1 attended and assisted with locating the vehicle. Maple Ridge Fire department attended and was able to extricate the man safely from the vehicle.

Mission RCMP assisted with road closures for several hours on Lougheed Highway while Police were investigating the incident. One person was transported to hospital via BC Air Ambulance while another person was transported via BC Ambulance Services.
