Tories raised $5.6 million in third quarter

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 30 Oct, 2020 06:37 PM
  • Tories raised $5.6 million in third quarter

The federal Conservatives say they raised $5.6 million from nearly 40,000 people between July and September.

The party says it was their best three months of fundraising outside an election year.

The donations coincided with the final two months of the party's leadership race, and do not include money raised by the candidates.

Winner Erin O'Toole raised just over $2 million by the end of the race in late August.

The Liberals and NDP have yet to post their results for the third quarter.

The Bloc Québécois raised about $300,000 while the Greens pulled in upwards of $800,000 while their party was also in a leadership race.
