  • Toronto man Soheil Sohani, 36, arrested for retail robbery

On Monday, October 19, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m., police launched a Robbery investigation in the Victoria Park Avenue and Ferncrest Gate area. It is alleged that: - a man entered a store and approached the counter - he then told the employee he had a gun and threatened to shoot the employee if his demands were not met - the suspect was given cash and cigarettes by the employee out of fear - the man took the items and fled the store .

Through investigation a man was identified and arrested without incident on the same day.

Soheil Sohani, 36, of Toronto, has been charged with: 1. Robbery 2. Disguise With Intent 3. four counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance. 

He appeared in court on Monday, October 19, 2020, at Toronto North Court, 1000 Finch Avenue West, at 10 a.m., in Room 306.
