Toronto-Area Man Poses As Well-known Broadway Performer Myles Erlick To Lure Children Online

    THORNHILL, Ont. — A Toronto-area man has been arrested after police say he lured children online while posing as a young Broadway performer.
     
    Halton Regional Police say the man was allegedly communicating with children online via the image-based social network Snapchat while using the name myles.erlick.
     
    Myles Erlick is a former Burlington, Ont., resident who is best known for his role as Billy Elliot on Broadway.
     
    Police say Erlick has been contacted and is in no way affiliated with the account used by the man.
     
    They say David Kron, of Thornhill, Ont., has been charged with three counts of child luring, one count of possession of child pornography and one count of distributing child pornography.
     
    Police say the alleged victims involved are between 12 to 14 years old.
