Troubles worsens for Kalsi; removed as President from Gurudwara Sahib Brookside

    Baldev Singh Kalsi, charged with attempted murder of his wife Narinder Kalsi has been removed from his post as President at the Brookside Sikh Gurudwara in Surrey. 
     
    The decision was made by the Canadian Ramgarhia Society, which operates the Gurudwara Sahib Brookside.
     
    Sardul Singh Rehal has been appointed as the new president by the board. 
     
    "We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place over the past weekend," the society said in a release. "The management of Gurdwara Sahib Brookside categorically condemns all kinds of violence. These are difficult moments for the society."
     
    Meanwhile, a two-day prayer has been organized for Narinder at the Gurudwara beginning July 18 and ending July 20.
