HALIFAX — The first significant snowfall of the winter in the Maritimes is causing travel headaches across the region.
Some flights at Halifax Stanfield International Airport have been delayed or cancelled.
 
Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for parts of mainland Nova Scotia and southern New Brunswick.
 
The national weather forecaster says up to 20 centimetres of snow is expected in some areas, with the snow becoming mixed with ice pellets at times.
