Mounties in North Vancouver are asking for the public's help in locating an urn stolen from a car over the weekend.
R-C-M-P say they received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins on West 21st Street around 10:30 Saturday morning.
They say one of the callers reported that her late husband's ashes were in an urn stolen from a white Kia Forte.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS to remain anonymous.
The city also says in a separate statement issued Thursday that it is withdrawing its appeal of court decisions that had refused to issue injunctions against homeless encampments.
A 35-year-old woman, who lives near the store, called 9-1-1 around 4:20 a.m. yesterday after she was woken up by the sounds of glass smashing and a security alarm going off near Arbutus Street and West 4th Avenue.
