  • Vancouver police cancel Amber Alert for 2-year-old boy, saying he's safe

Vancouver police say they have located a two-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his father on Thursday.

Police say the boy is safe after they issued an Amber Alert saying they believed he was in imminent danger.

They said the boy was taken from outside a family care centre on East Broadway.

Police said the boy has a medical condition that requires a ventilator, but he was without a piece of that equipment and may have gone into medical distress.

They say the suspect has been taken into custody.

They say because the investigation is ongoing, no further information will be released.
