Vancouver Police are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage related to an accident on Saturday where an elderly female was struck by a car.

“Vancouver Police collision investigators need additional information after an 80-year-old female was struck by a car on West 41st Avenue at Elm Street this past Saturday afternoon,” says Sergeant Aaron Roed VPD. “We have limited information on how the accident happened and would like anyone with dashcam video of the incident or any witnesses to come forward.”

On Saturday August 29 just before 2 p.m. a vehicle was driving west on West 41st Avenue when it struck the elderly female in the marked crosswalk at Elm Street.

The female was rushed to hospital with serious injuries where she remains today.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the police.

There have been no arrests and this investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who has information, or was driving in the area at the time of the accident and has dashcam video, is requested to contact investigators at 604-717-3012 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
