Vancouver will open two of its outdoor pools and staff beaches with lifeguards starting Saturday.
The city says designated swim areas at eight beaches will be patrolled from 11:30 a-m to 8:30 p-m daily.
The hours will change later in the summer as the sun sets earlier.
The New Brighton and Second Beach pools will be open, but Kitsilano pool remains closed for repairs from a major storm in 2021.
